Ulf Hamilton Memorial
IN LOVING MEMORY
ULF HAMILTON
April 27, 1931—April 27, 2010
Ulf journeyed peacefully into Spirit on his birthday. He was born in Stockholm, Sweden There is a large and historic Hamilton family in Sweden to which he belonged. Ulf attended Lundsberg Boarding School and served in the Swedish Army before returning to America.
Ulf is blessing me with the expanded experience of his Essence. Even as he was leaving, I felt his presence so much I dressed and rushed to his side at midnight to then learn he had just left. So I do not have the sense he is gone, but IS here in another, familiar, yet expansive way.
Many of you have asked about honoring his memory with a donation to a charity. If you wish to participate, you can choose your own favorite or you might consider what Ulf held dear, ‘peace’ and ‘love’. These concepts guide us on our Spiritual journey to God as expressed in A Course in Miracles, published by the Foundation for Inner Peace. It was much more than a book for Ulf. The people who published and distribute it have been loving friends for many, many years. This love and the words of guidance in the Course embraced Ulf and lightened his journey into Spirit. One of the Foundation’s goals is to continue to expand the Translation Program that now includes 19 languages. It takes at least 4 years to complete a translation and convey the exact interpretation of the message. Ulf was given the first copy in the Swedish language which he held close to his heart. There is a scholarship fund in Ulf’s name for the Swedish Translation of ACIM to benefit those students who cannot afford the price. Click on the link below the photos.

I was in the midst of another friends memorial service the day Ulf made his transition. His face came before me with that “Ulf smile” and I remember saying, won’t be long now. Then we talked the next day…. It was a Good By hug with his eyes. Bev you are a great light, and your presence is enough….without words, yet what you express leads each of home once more. love and blessings, max and rama too.

Ulf I’m guessing your new heavenly title is “Angel in Charge of Reflecting Beauty” which is a skill you fine tuned during the last year of your life!!
Ulf’s journey was a profound teaching for all who were there to witness him shedding attachment to his narrowing human aspects and deepening his exquisite friendship with God. Beverly, your compassionate commitment to keeping his path as unlimited as possible, and his environment gently accepting, is an exemplar example of love in action. Thank you for being a guiding light!!
I send my condolences to those who loved him and who will miss him.

Ulf left his friends with memories of love, peace, and the beauty of a smile.
His kindness and caring for others took priority over his ego.
Bev, your writing has been a gift for us all as you took this journey with Ulf.
We know his love and peace surrounds you as Love never dies.
We feel blessed that you both have been in our lives.

My dear Bev:
Ulf is so fortunate to have you there sharing this adventure with
all of us. It’s been a wondrous and touching inspiration and we are grateful.
Recently you said on one of our long late calls with your inimitable
Bev-laugh, “Now he knows what my blog’s been about.” Perhaps he
did which is why he left so gently and so timely.
I remember saying, “Everything’s a gift. Sometimes it takes time to comprehend it.” Ulf is a gift to all of us who loved him. And so are you. We hope you continue tracking the journey. Blesses and my love to you. f

Cousin Beverly,
Our prayers are with you and the children. It was great to see you two years ago at the reunion. Just wish that we had seen Ulf. Suzie, Derrick, Jessica, Dustin and I send you our best. Suzie and I have so many memories at Sedona in the years past. Come see us in Texas when you can.
Love,
Danny
PS Just remembered the many phone conversations that I had with Ulf in the years past. Hmmm.

Dear Beverly,
We were deeply saddenned to learn of Ulf”s passing. We were also sorry that we have not seen you since you returned to northern CAlifornia. Think of how long it’s been from the time you lived with us in SF. We will always remember you as a wonderful and devoted couple.

Thank you for sharing all this positive news. We have been blessed to have had both you and Ulf introduce us to so many wonders here in Sedona. And as many people have commented, you, Bev, have been a prime example of a loving wife and companion to Ulf as he has “progressed” from one stage to another, particularly your tireless energy in exploring cause and effect of certain pathways. We all will continue to benefit from that.
Love, , Jeff and Suzie
